Black and white croissants

Make a yeast mayonnaise, a teaspoon of sugar, a tablespoon of flour and a little warm milk. Leave to rise.

Beat the three eggs with 3 tablespoons of sugar until they froth and then add the oil a little. Add the vanilla sugar, lemon peel.

Sift the flour and mix with the baking powder and a little salt.

If the yeast has fermented (the yeast had managed to get out of the phallus that was) it is put over the flour, together with beaten eggs.

Mix and add the warm milk one at a time until the desired consistency is obtained for a leavened dough.

Knead for at least 15 minutes. Then divide into two halves. To one add the two tablespoons of cocoa mixed with a little milk.

Leave to rise for an hour.

From the two compositions balls are made, so that we have the same number of "white" and "black" balls.

From the balls, spread a round sheet and overlap a white sheet and one with cocoa.

Cut it into triangles, put the jam (finetti, shit, walnut) and roll it into a donut shape. This didn't work out well for me.

Place in the hot oven for about 20 minutes.

From 400 grams of sugar, 400 ml of water and lemon juice, a fairly thick syrup is made.

When the croissants are ripe, they are so hot in syrup, they are taken out and placed on a plate.

White rice

White rice is most often used in the kitchen, it has a lower fiber content compared to brown rice, a much lower content of vitamins (especially B-complex), but enough calories. For healthy people, who do not have a contraindication to the consumption of unpeeled bran and food (eg cereals or seeds), white rice should be the last option, being the most "nutritionally poor" of all types of rice.

Red rice

Red rice has this color due to its content in an antioxidant and pigment also called anthocyanin. Anthocyanins reduce oxidative stress, thus reducing the harmful effects of free radicals in the body, help prevent and treat cardiovascular disease and high blood pressure, protect DNA and have anticancer properties. Anthocyanins are also found in currants, red onions, rosehips, red cabbage, etc. Because it is not hulled, red rice contains a large amount of fiber, B-complex vitamins, iron, antioxidants, magnesium, zinc, lignans, vitamin E, protein and complex carbohydrates.

Black rice

It is rich in fiber, antioxidants, phytonutrients, vitamin E, protein, iron, magnesium, zinc, calcium, copper, selenium, protein and essential amino acids, B-complex vitamins and other nutrients. It contains resveratrol, considered to be the most powerful antioxidant in nature, but also anthocyanins, about the benefits of which I wrote above.

Consumption of black rice is recommended even for those suffering from cardiovascular disease, hypertension, atherosclerosis, avitaminosis, anemia, or for those who want to follow a lower calorie diet, which allows them to lose a few healthy pounds.

Brown rice

Brown rice is poorer in antioxidants compared to black and red varieties, but has a similar content in vitamins, minerals and protein to black and red rice.
