Rabbit meat is dietary, we all know that. But do we know that it is at the top of the list of all types of meat we usually eat? With the least cholesterol, the least fat and the highest digestibility, it is recommended by dieticians in special diets, in those for weight loss, in those for the elderly and children, in those for heart disease.
And if we found out about the benefits of rabbit meat, what are we waiting for & # 8211 to prepare a steak!
INGREDIENTS (for 3 people): ESTIMATED TIME & # 8211 1 hour
rabbit meat & # 8211 800 gr
onion & # 8211 2 large
garlic & # 8211 3 puppies
tomatoes & # 8211 1 pc.
oil & # 8211 5 tbsp
rosemary & # 8211 2 twigs
white wine & # 8211 150 ml
We wash the rabbit meat very well and dry it with a kitchen towel. In a deep frying pan (or in a cauldron) heat a few tablespoons of oil and arrange the meat in a layer. Make a medium-high heat and let the meat brown on one side, then turn it on the other.
After it has browned well, lower the heat, put the lid on and let it simmer, stirring periodically. Meanwhile, chop the julienned onions and chop the rosemary needles.
After 15-20 minutes add the onion and rosemary over the meat and continue cooking under the lid. After another 10 minutes we pour the wine, make the fire bigger and let the alcohol evaporate.
Salt, pepper, add diced tomatoes, make a small fire again and put the lid on. In another 10 minutes add the chopped garlic, mix, keep on the fire for another 2-3 minutes and the frying is ready (anyway we control the cooking of the meat with a fork).
We can serve it with polenta and fresh vegetable salad.

Weight loss methods, depending on your blood type
The science of blood groups allows the choice of an adequate diet to prevent diseases, slow down aging, treat obesity.
Group O means "seniority". The first humans were skilled hunters, so meat (protein) was the main source of energy. This was the time when the digestive attributes of group O were finalized. The group A protein-fed man has a strong immune system, is vigorous and resilient.
There is a chemical reaction between the blood and the food consumed, which is part of the genetic heritage. For this reason, the digestive and immune systems are still influenced by the foods that their ancestors ate with the same blood type. After the game dwindled, people went in search of food in other parts of the globe.
Therefore, group 0 is predominant and "universal donor".
CHARACTERISTICS OF GROUP O
- Meat consumer
- Vigorous digestive tract, but with increased acidity
- Hyperactive immune system
- Intolerance to adaptations to diet and the environment
- Optimal response to stress through intense physical activity
- It requires an efficient metabolism to be supple and energetic through increased intake of iodine and calcium
- In terms of personality, group O carries a genetic memory of strength, endurance, boldness, confidence, concentration, action and a developed sense of self-preservation.
Weight control recommendations
There are several factors that influence weight gain for group O:
Thyroid regulation. People with group O have a tendency to hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormone levels, iodine deficiency).
The effects of hypothyroidism are: weight gain, fluid retention, decreased muscle mass and fatigue.
The main factor in weight gain is gluten, which is found in all wheat-based products. Following the group O diet, by reducing the consumption of cereals, bread and pasta, there is a decrease in weight.
Foods that promote weight gain for group O: wheat, corn, dried beans, lentils, cabbage, cauliflower, mustard. Foods that promote weight loss for group O: fish, liver, red meat (beef), spinach and all green vegetables.
General recommendations for group O diet
The phrase "we are what we eat" should draw your attention to commercial foods and how close they are to what nature offers. Protein-based diet is recommended: lean fish, chicken, beef, as fresh as possible without the addition of preservatives and other additives.
Industrially prepared sausages should be avoided.
Very beneficial are sea foods (sources of iodine, regulates thyroid function) which should be a major component of the group O diet. People with group O should reduce dairy products, especially sweet milk (lactose intolerance).
Because calcium is very necessary, plant sources are recommended: nuts, almonds, sunflower and sesame seeds, green leafy vegetables, beans, cauliflower, cabbage, peas, celery (calcium supplements do not bring you any benefit).
Excellent alternatives are cheese and soy milk. Among oils and fats, olive oil is recommended.
A beneficial source of protein and vegetable fats are raw pumpkin nuts and seeds. Particularly beneficial vegetables: all green vegetables, horseradish, onions, garlic, kale. Dried beans should be eaten in moderation as a garnish. People with group O do not tolerate wheat products.
Bread, pasta and sweets made from wheat flour are not recommended, as gluten in cereals slows down the metabolism and turns food into fat deposits. Fruits are recommended in large quantities, being an important source of fiber, vitamins and minerals.
They are an excellent alternative to bread and pasta. If you eat a fruit instead of pasta or bread, your body will receive more nutritional principles and you will easily achieve your weight control goals.
Particularly beneficial fruits are: plums, figs, pineapple. It is good to reduce or avoid the following fruits: melon, bananas, strawberries, oranges, blackberries. Low sugar fruit and vegetable juices.
Vegetable juices are preferable. The spices to avoid are: vinegar, pepper, mustard. Recommended drinks in moderate amounts: beer and red wine. Avoid or reduce: coffee, distilled alcoholic beverages, synthetic soft drinks, black tea. It is recommended to remove the coffee. Green tea is a good alternative to coffee.
Exercise, physical work is the best antidote for those in group O against stress, depression, fatigue and insomnia.
If you are used to eating meat, you will lose weight easily by eliminating toxic foods from your diet and reducing meat. In terms of metabolism, group A is the exact opposite of group O. People with group A tend to retain water and eventually store meat in the form of fat.
The cause is low levels of gastric acid, which does not promote the digestion of meat. Foods that promote weight gain for group A are: meat, animal fats, dairy products, large beans, flour products consumed in large quantities.
Beneficial foods that promote weight loss for group A: soy-based foods, vegetables and fruits that contain a large amount of vitamin C, vegetable oils.
There are similarities between Group B and Group 0 in terms of reaction to wheat gluten, which slows down the metabolism. If food is not efficiently digested and is not used as a "fuel" for energy needs, it is stored as fat.
People with group B can easily control their weight by applying the diet specific to this group, because they do not encounter any physiological barriers, such as hormonal or digestive problems.
Foods to avoid because they promote weight gain for group B: corn, wheat, lentils, peanuts, sesame seeds. These foods affect the proper functioning of the metabolism, leading to fatigue, water retention and hypoglycemia.
So people with group B who want to lose weight should definitely avoid wheat and dairy products. The normative ones do not have these restrictions.
Beneficial foods that promote weight loss for group B: green vegetables, lean meat, liver, dairy products (low in fat), eggs, licorice tea.
AB characteristics - The enigmatic
- The modern fusion between groups A and B
- Chameleon-like response to changing environmental and dietary conditions
- Sensitive digestive tract
- Excessively tolerant immune system
- Responds optimally to stress in spiritual, physical and creative energy
- An evolutionary mystery
Weight control recommendations
In terms of weight gain, those with group AB reflect the mixed inheritance of group A and B genes.
For weight loss, it is recommended to reduce the amount of meat and supplement the diet with vegetables because, due to the insufficient amount of gastric acid, the meat is not digested efficiently and tends to be stored in the form of fat. It is also recommended to reduce the consumption of wheat, corn, beans and sesame.
Foods to avoid because they promote weight gain for group AB: red meat, beans, seeds, corn, wheat. Foods that promote weight loss for group AB: seafood, dairy products, green vegetables.
General recommendations for the AB group diet
Blood group AB is less than 1000 years old, is very rare (5% of the population) and biologically complex, representing a fusion of the characteristics of groups A and B.
The body of those with group AB does not produce enough gastric acid to digest large amounts of animal protein.
The solution is to reduce the amount of chicken and beef. It is preferable to eat lamb, turkey, sheep, rabbit.
It is best to avoid smoked or canned meat products. Seafood can be eaten as often as possible, being an excellent source of protein. Very beneficial are: cod, mackerel, pike, sturgeon, sardines, trout, mackerel, snails.
Dairy products are very well tolerated, especially: yogurt, kefir, skim cream. Those with AB group should use olive oil instead of animal fats and refined oils. Walnuts and seeds should be eaten in small amounts with caution.
Peanuts, eaten in moderation, provide support for the immune system. For group AB, soy-based products are particularly beneficial.
Cereals are well tolerated, especially rice, rye and soy. However, it is recommended to limit the consumption of wheat and corn products, especially if you have weight problems.
Vegetables should be eaten daily because they are an important source of nutrients, playing a key role in preventing cancer, heart disease and improving the immune system.
However, avoid olives, peppers, corn, avocados and artichokes. For group AB there is a wide variety of beneficial fruits: grapes, plums, cherries, pineapples, apricots, kiwis, lemons, figs, grapefruit.
Should be avoided: orange, mango and bananas. Those with group AB should start each day with a glass of warm water, mixed with fresh juice from half a lemon, to eliminate toxins accumulated during the night.
Grapefruit juice is also very good. Spices and beneficial spices are: sea salt, garlic, horseradish, parsley and soy sauce.
Not recommended: vinegar, pepper, pickles and ketchup. Herbal teas help strengthen the immune system and provide protection against cardiovascular disease and cancer. Especially recommended: green tea, chamomile, echinacea, ginseng, dandelion, rosehip.
Recommended drinks are: red wine (one glass a day), coffee alternately with green tea. Distilled alcoholic beverages, siphon, synthetic and sour soft drinks, black tea should be avoided.
The personality of those with group AB represents a mixture between the sensitivity of group A and the balance of group B. They are captivating, spiritual, attractive, diplomatic and friendly people.
Those with AB group react to stress at the intellectual level and feel exhausted after long periods of tension and overwork. Counteracting stress is done by walking, swimming, cycling, dancing, golf, aerobics.

a quarter teaspoon of lemongrass
3-4 bay leaves
a teaspoon grated with salt (approximately)

- We cut the rabbit meat into pieces and wash it well
- We make a marinade of wine, water, olive oil, chopped garlic cloves, salt, pepper, bay leaves, lemongrass
- Put the rabbit meat in a bag together with the marinade, seal it well and leave it in the fridge for a few hours to freeze, shaking the bag from time to time to get the marinade on all the pieces of meat.

- Put the rabbit meat in a tray together with the juice in which it was marinated
- We put sliced onions and kaiser slices over the meat, from place to place
- Add the tomatoes together with their juice
- Cover the tray with aluminum foil and put it in the oven at 180 degrees (third stage of the oven).
- After half an hour, remove the aluminum foil, turn the pieces of meat on the other side and add the olives, leaving the steak in the oven.
- After another three quarters of an hour we check the steak by pricking the meat, not a fork and if it is done and the sauce has dropped enough we can take it out of the oven. If not, we still let it cook, checking from time to time.
- When it is ready, we take it out of the oven and we can serve it hot but also cold, according to our preferences.
- Tips & ampTrics
When checking the meat, choose to do the test on a piece of rabbit meat because this part is the hardest to cook.
